The Team
Michael Pareles, Managing Director, SYP Advisors
Michael Pareles is the founder and Managing Director of SYP Advisors Pte Ltd. A Singapore Permanent Resident, he has extensive experience building digital ventures and public-private partnerships across APAC markets, as well as a board director and advisor to companies large and small.
He previously led Bayer's first digital incubator in Singapore, where he worked closely with the Singapore Economic Development Board and a Temasek portfolio company to build a team of over 60 professionals across seven countries to launch innovative digital services.
Before moving to Singapore, Michael founded Monsanto's Global Blockchain Center of Excellence and launched Traceharvest—the world's first blockchain-based traceability platform for row crops. His career also includes nearly a decade representing American companies in business-government partnerships across Beijing and Washington, DC.
